Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a fabulous Wednesday! :) I am because today it felt like it started to cool down a bit in Dayton and it makes me feel like Fall is coming!
I also have two stunning polishes to show you today. Pahlish has created a perfect pair of polishes for their September duo, called the Darling Heart duo. The duo consists of Tenderest Touch and Darkest of Marks. Shannon tells me the inspiration for these pretties was warm fall colors and dark leaves, and the names come from a Florence and the Machine song, "Hardest of Hearts."
First up, Tenderest Touch is a dusty lavender creme with flecks of dark and light purple.
I used 2 coats for full opacity, and topped off with a coat of Seche Vite. Before topcoat, this polish has a lovely semi-matte finish which I loved, but I had to see how it looked topcoated, and I think I prefer it shiny!
Next up is the stunning glitter topper, Darkest of Marks. It's a clear base with a variety of shapes and colors of glitter - I can pick out hexes and squares in various sizes in orange, copper, fuschia, and brown. There's also a fuschia shimmer to the base (but it might just be micro-flakies) that is truly stunning in the light!
I am absolutely in love with this topper! I feel like it would look amazing over so many base colors, but Tenderest Touch really is the perfect one. They really make such a wonderful combination. I used two thin coats of Darkest of Marks over Tenderest Touch, with one coat of Seche Vite.
I adore these two together, but I can't wait to try Darkest of Marks over some more colors - I think over green, black, or a darker purple this would make a fantastic Halloween polish! Either way, everything about this duo screams Autumn to me. Formulas were both perfect, I have no issues to report! So far, I can honestly say that I have loved every Pahlish I've tried, they are one of my favorite indie brands to date! And no, it's not just because they frequently release polishes inspired by my favorite bands (but that definitely doesn't hurt).
The Darling Heart duo will be available this Friday, September 6, and it will retail for $15 for the set. They will be opening their brand new Big Cartel shop that day at 7pm Central time, but in the meantime, check them out on Etsy, and be sure to follow their Facebook page for giveaways, information on new polishes, sale information and more!
