Glimmer by Erica: Muy Caliente

Day 3 of "Glimmer Week" here at Nails for the Sake of Sanity brings us to a spicy glitter named Muy Caliente! This polish makes me miss summer :[ It's all warm colors and would be perfect for a beach or vacation mani...but I noticed that the colors I layered it over worked great for fall, too!

Description of this polish from Erica's Etsy site:
"This polish is all about fire! It is a super sparkly mix of red, orange, and yellow glitters in a clear base and it is hot hot hot!! It literally glows on the nail!"

And now for some bottle/macro shots:

I think the little pink hexes really add something different to this polish. It's not your typical, red, yellow, orange warm-toned polish because there's that extra pop of color and sparkle. I chose to layer this polish over several different colors to see which I thought looked best. My thumb is two coats of Muy Caliente with no undies, and for the rest I used (left to right) Revlon Saucy, Rimmel Lasting Finish Black Satin, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Heat Flash, and Orly Rage (of course).

I drove to Sally's to pick up prizes for my giveaway (only three followers away!) and I loved the look of this mani in the sun, so I had to get a picture in the car!

It looked great over black! I got some macro shots of the different nails too, to really show off the dimensions in this glitter!

Hope you like my swatches! To me, this glitter is a must have for summer/going into fall. Even with the bigger glitters, nothing curled or clumped. I can honestly say I had no issues with applying this glitter; it applied perfectly.

One more picture just because!

Glimmer by Erica polishes retail for $10.00 USD for 15 mL.
